Located in the coastal city of Hervey Bay, Queensland, St James Lutheran College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational school with a strong Christian ethos empowering their students to shape a better world.
Novum’s original engagement was for a large sporting and performing arts hall, providing opportunities for all-weather sporting activities and all-school assemblies. Our scope has since expanded to also include a Performing Arts Centre, Hospitality Centre, Tuckshop Café, Administration Centre expansion and Secondary GLA building.
These additions to our scope were sparked by consultation with the school as we reviewed their existing Master Plan and explored some underutilised opportunities to better connect the campus, improve the school’s street appeal, and provide activated, welcoming external spaces for sport, play, gathering, and connecting with school parents.
