COMPLETED: Toowoomba Christian College Music Centre

Perched on the side of a hill, Toowoomba Christian College’s new Music Centre has sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, encouraging students to pause and reflect on the beauty of God’s creation.

A central courtyard is afforded glimpses into music spaces including the main learning area, meeting and breakout spaces, and soundproof music practice rooms.

Designed to tie in the with the school’s “civic” style architecture, the main façade of the building signifies that it is a place of importance on the campus. The forecourt has been designed to act as an amphitheatre for lunchtime gatherings and performances, celebrating music, culture and community.

Novum’s engagement involved a number of detailed teacher and staff consultation sessions, ensuring the design specifically reflects the school’s unique site, culture and Christian ethos.

Toowoomba Christian College is a P-12 independent school in Highfields, Queensland, with a mission to develop the love of life, the love of learning, and the love of God.
