Learnings from our Students: Dave Mutuc

This month we're celebrating our Architectural Students, and their recent experiences and learnings with us here at Novum

Today we're hearing from Dave Mutuc about his experiences over the last year

I have been given such a wonderful opportunity to work for Novum since November 2019. I am currently in my fourth year of Architectural studies at QUT, expecting to finish my B.Arch. (Hons) by the end of the year.

During my short but meaningful time at Novum, I have learned that I still have a lot to learn. With the guidance of my fellow architectural students and graduates, our Revit Technician – Jeffrey Smith, and the training we are receiving from X-REV, I am currently in the process of learning how to use Revit and Enscape more efficiently, to produce high quality work at the office and university.

With the supervision of both Directors and our project leads, Tec-NQ which is a secondary school and registered training organisation, was entrusted to me during its Design Development stage. Tec-NQ being my favourite projects so far, has given me the most memorable and humbling experience I needed to grow both as a person and student. The ability to effectively communicate verbally and visually through design documentation and virtual reality, is an invaluable life skill that I wish to keep honing at Novum.
