The Multipurpose Hall at Coolum Beach Christian College has been designed with versatility and flexibility in mind.
Novum’s design features high ceilings, robust linings, operable doors and windows for natural ventilation, and roller shutters for dividing up the space to allow sporting, Performing Arts, or other Auditorium-style events occur without disruption to the adjacent space.
Prioritising sporting and Performing Arts activities, the Hall will become a hub of activity for the College, celebrating the school’s vibrant community and inviting engagement between parents, students and staff.
Adjacent to the existing sporting field, the new building will house amenities and change rooms, HPE equipment storage, and covered sports, fitness and social areas, with direct access to new car parking, and setdown areas.
The unique site conditions also mean that the Hall, suspended above a new undercroft area, will provide a shaded, terraced area for spectators, students, and staff to congregate and enjoy Coolum’s beautiful weather.
