We are delighted to be working with Ohana College and Rohrig once again to deliver Stage 2 of the school’s brand new campus! With Stage 1 works wrapping up on site, Stage 2 will provide additional learning areas, kitchen, dining room, multi-purpose space, student services spaces, and a covered sports court.
Located in Logan, Queensland, Ohana College is a Special Assistance School that prides itself on providing tailored education and wellbeing programs for students with diverse learning, psychological and physical needs. The school environment, staffing, pedagogical practices, and curriculum are all designed for students with complex needs that make their participation in mainstream schooling difficult.
The new campus features learning areas designed for smaller class sizes and breakout and withdrawal areas that allow for tailored social-emotional wellbeing and learning support. Acoustic and visual stimuli are controlled to provide opportunities for socialisation and collaborative learning while also managing possible triggers for behavioural issues. Withdrawal spaces, affectionately referred to as “caves” are designed to provide respite for students when needed.
Novum congratulates Rohrig who were recently awarded the Stage 2 building contract off the back of their recent delivery of Stage 1!
